About Our Story
Originally from Jamaica, I now call Maryland, USA, home. I picked up a comb and scissors to style hair for the first time at age twelve and instantly fell in love with the art. Next up, I became the go-to stylist for my friends and family.
My Journey
Doing my families hair was where i gained love for what i now do, but back then the dream was short-lived, as pursuing a more traditional career was mandatory in my family. So, I paused the dream pursuit and became a nurse. I served as an LPN for nine years until the birth of my beautiful daughter. She graced my home in 2021, and then and there, I knew I had to change tracks. As a new mother with a family, I couldn’t work the 6-2 PM routine. So, three months later, I resigned and hit restart.
The Turning Point
Chasing a fresh start, I signed up for one-on-one frontal makeup classes – The Best Decision Ever – and ultimately rediscovered the lost spark. Driven to build a better life for my family, I registered my business and enrolled in a cosmetology school to perfect the art. Ultimately, I became a Certified Cosmetologist, full-time Hair Stylist, and Makeup Artist.
Today, I help women style their hair and flaunt their unique flair in the best way. I work closely with my clients to help them find the perfect combo and don the trendiest styles with the perfect foundation and undertone. I also specialize in trimming, layering, and texturizing. In addition, I offer hair coloring solutions such as highlights, ombre, and balayage and perform blowouts, curls, braids, ponytails, bridal updos, frontal/closure, wig installation, and sew-ins.
